During this second lockdown we are seeing more and more of our Toronto customers signing up for our free pick up and delivery dry cleaning service. Gibson’s has offered pickup and delivery dry cleaning services for over 60 years. A lot of our new customers ask, “does your pick up and delivery service include bedding items?” Of course. Gibson’s pickup and delivery bedding and household service is easy and efficient. Here’s how it works.
1. Create an Account and Schedule Your First Pickup
First, you’ll need to sign up for our service. At Gibson’s we pride ourselves on offering multiple ways to get in touch with our team including by phone, email, text, or chatbot. You can also use our online form to sign up here. Once you sign up, a member of our garment care team will get in touch with you to confirm your contact details and credit card information. Once your account is created, we’ll let you know when our truck in your area so we can schedule your first pickup.
2. Gather Your Bedding, Make Notes, and Package It for Pickup
Next, gather your bedding. Items may include comforters, down duvets, duvet covers, sheets, pillow cases, and bed skirts. We recommend putting your bedding in a durable plastic bag or reusable bag that is clearly labelled. If you have special instructions about stains on your bedding or about packaging, please include a note in your bag or send us an email.
3. The Cleaning Process
When your bedding items arrive at our cleaning facility they will be re-inspected and reviewed for any spots, stains, or tears. Items with stains will always be sent to our dry cleaner who will use special stain agents to remove your stains and any torn bedding will be sent to our seamstress for repair. Next, your bedding will be cleaned as per the care label, either in our dry cleaning or wet cleaning machine and dried using the highest quality equipment.
4. The Packaging Process
We package our bedding according to its size and shape; however, we can package your items to your preference as long as you let us know beforehand. Comforters, duvets, and quilts are always packaged in a reusable plastic bag while sheets and pillow cases are hung over a hanger and packaged with recycled plastic.
5. Delivery
Once your items have been cleaned and packaged, our Customer Service Representative will deliver your items back to your home. If you’re storing your items for the season, we recommend removing the plastic and storing your bedding in a cool and dry area.
