There are hundreds if not thousands of dry cleaners in Toronto. When googling, “best dry cleaner in Toronto,” it can be confusing to know which businesses are the real deal or just hiding behind a good website. Our team at Gibson’s Cleaners has always taken pride as being one of the best dry cleaners in the city, however, last year we were also the winners of an industry award that named us the best in Canada! So now, there’s no debate! Read below to learn more about why we’re the best dry cleaner in Toronto.

Fashion Partnerships and Industry Alliances

Since the beginning, Gibson’s Cleaners has prioritized relationships with Canadian fashion brands and industry groups. Gibson’s was recently named one of Toronto’s only Canada Goose authorized dry cleaners and is now recommended by Canada Goose brand ambassadors who work at their Sherway and Eaton Centre stores. Familiar with dry cleaning brands like Celine, Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga, Aritzia, and more, our team at Gibson’s often consults fashion brands to exchange fabricare knowledge. As for industry groups…Gibson’s is proud to be a member of Canadian Fabricare Association (CFA), an industry group of fabricare professionals and tradespeople who exchange industry knowledge. This allows us to stay ahead of the trends in the industry and anticipate our customer’s needs. In addition to the CFA Gibson’s is a member of the Dry Cleaning and Laundry Institute (DLI) and is a GreenEarth Cleaning affiliate dry cleaner!

We’re Actually Sustainable…

What does it mean to be a green dry cleaner in 2021? At Gibson’s we take pride in being one of the most environmentally friendly dry cleaners in Toronto through focusing on sustainable packaging, cleaning methods, and distribution. We encourage all our customers to recycle their hangers, and use garment bags when possible and use biodegradable poly when it isn’t. A lot of our customers ask if we use PERC nope. Gibson’s is 100% PERC-free and does not use this harmful chemical at any of our stores. Instead, we use GreenEarth a gentle sand based solvent which is good for your nose, clothes, and the environment. In recent years, Gibson’s has started to wet clean more and more garments. Wet cleaning technology is a water based cleaning process that uses special detergents and is gentler on clothes. When it comes to distribution, we encourage our customers to use our pick up and delivery dry cleaning service which ultimately reduces the amount of cars on the road.

We’re Good At Our Job

We’ve been in business for 90 years because we’re good at our job. We are Toronto’s experts when it comes to stain removal, garment care, and home care. We are one of the only dry cleaners in the city to employ a certified dry cleaner with over 25 years of experience. He is able to remove chocolate stains, red wine stains, grease stains, and more. Over the years we’ve had a number of customers who are thrilled with our work and shocked at how beautiful their clothes are returned.

We’re Living in this Decade

So many dry cleaners are living in the 1960s. From using harsh chemicals like PERC to failing to invest in a modern day POS or computer system, many are failing to make the necessary moves to appeal to their customers. At Gibson’s we’ve made it a priority invest in new technologies like our automated packaging system and automated marketing software. We also stay on top of key industry and fashion trends to ensure we can properly clean and care for the latest styles and emerging brands.

Next time you’re in need of dry cleaning, choose Gibson’s Cleaners.
