Good Grains

Looking for something that’s tasty and healthy? Look no further than Good Grains, one of the Kingsway’s only plant-based eateries. Owner Carrie uses her own unique recipes to create delicious plant-based stews, curries, and desserts. Good Grains believes in flavourful foods that aren’t processed or full of unnatural ingredients, and after eating one of their meals, you truly get a boost of energy. Our favourites include the Harvest Stew and Slaw Salad. Stop by for a to-go lunch or purchase family sized packages and store for later.

Kingsway Retirement Living

Kingsway Retirement Living, of the Revera Group has been a neighbour to Gibson’s for over 20 years. During these tough times, their team has worked their hardest to care for their seniors. The Residence offers spectacular views of the historic Kingsway neighbourhood and offers a variety of activities to its residents including fitness, crafts, games, and even has its own hair salon! Kingsway Retirement Living also offers 24-hour memory care for those in need of additional assistance. Daniel’s Chocolates

If you’re a chocoholic, then Daniel’s Chocolates, right across the street from Gibson’s, is a must! Daniel’s has some of the best chocolate in Toronto, and trust us, you won’t be disappointed. Whether you’re looking for an afternoon pick-me-up or gift for a friend, this gourmet chocolate imported from Belgian chocolate is delectable (and gluten free). They also offer same-day delivery within Toronto and gelato throughout the summer months.

Magoo’s

Magoo’s is a household name in the Kingsway. This community favourite offers one of the best burgers in the entire Greater Toronto Area. A family business, Magoos uses the freshest ingredients and offers superb customer service. Their staff have always been known to give back to their local community and have sponsored local baseball and hockey teams for years. Our recommendation – the Goo Goo Burger with Spicy Fries

Haven Boutique

What’s a round-up of favourite businesses without somewhere to shop? At Gibson’s, we’re lucky to have Haven Women’s Boutique right across the street. Haven sells timeless pieces that will surely add to your wardrobe. With brands like Eileen Fischer and Joseph Ribkoff, there’s something for everyone. Check out their latest sales to find your perfect patio-ready outfit. Just make sure to bring your items to Gibson’s to prevent any damage when washing these lovely pieces!
