Gibson's is proud of our 75 years experience. Our master cleaner, John Murphy has been exceeding our customer's expectations for almost 40 years. John believes "if anyone can get a stain out, we can."

We are longstanding and active members of The International Fabricare Institute, The Ontario Fabricare Association, The Eastern Canadian Launderers and Drycleaners Association. The International Drycleaners Congress, The Canadian Association of Family Enterprise and both the Etobicoke and Brampton Chamber of Commerce.

What is dry cleaning?

Dry cleaning is sometimes called French cleaning because in 1849, a French tailor named Monsieur Jolly-Bolin discovered how solvent could remove dirt and grease from fabric.

Solvents have evolved over the years and today the most popular and efficient solvent is called perchlorethylene or "perc".

Miele's integrated wet cleaning process provides a fully functional alternative to conventional solvent-bases dry cleaning methods. Since developing the wet cleaning process in 1991, the Meile system has gone on to become the recognized performance leader. Since installing Meile equipment at Gibson's in 1999, customers have benefited from our precisely controlled wet cleaning system.
